Setup and compatibility
Prism is built for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. Apple Intelligence support depends on Apple's device, language, region, and system settings. Downloadable local models require enough free storage for the selected model file.
Model downloads
Prism can refresh a remote model catalog and download model files when you choose to add them. After a supported model is available on your device, local chat and local history are designed to work without continuous internet access.
- Use a stable Wi-Fi connection for large model downloads.
- Keep Prism open if a download appears paused or waiting.
- Check available device storage before downloading multi-gigabyte models.
- Use valid GGUF files when importing models from Files.
Quick troubleshooting
- Restart Prism if the app appears stuck after changing models.
- Confirm Apple Intelligence is available and enabled for Apple Intelligence models.
- Reconnect to the network before refreshing the catalog or downloading a model.
- Free up device storage if imports or downloads fail.
- Update iOS or iPadOS when a system framework reports an availability issue.
Data and privacy

Model catalog
Prism's remote model feed is published at /catalog/v1/catalog.json. This catalog contains model recommendation and download metadata for the app.
